“Grandfather’s Barn in the Appalachians”... I knew it was still there, and even though it had seen its better days, my heart was filled with joy when I saw the old barn still standing in the hollow. When I ran across the original photo recently, I was filled with warmth and nostalgia. Captured in this precious moment is a little flower girl, a vision of innocence and purity, with soft curls framing her angelic face, and bright blue eyes radiating with wonder and curiosity. This digital artwork originates from a photograph from within my personal archive of historical images. It was processed in Ai and largely remastered in traditional editing software.
