When I set out to use every made up word in the previous Last Contest (last word 13) I didn't realize how many words people had created.

I'm glad Abbie didn't close that much sooner or my post would have disappeared.

I think of all the housing carved into cliffs around the world. Whenever and Wherever I see cliff dwellings I want to move in.

I think for some reason of cave paintings and Petroglyphs.

I think of what remains of the Ozymandias Statue and the Percy Beth Shelly poem.......

But I'm still thinking......

Perhaps I would show them… a Gutenberg printing press.

I'd say indoor plumbing.

I almost said indoor plumbing too but it wasn't specific enough for me.

having lived off the grid for 12 years and homeless for a couple of years long ago... you can always improvise a toilet. But hot running water is something I used to dream about back then when I was having to haul water in a 300 gallon tote. If I wanted hot water I had to fire up the woodstove and heat it up myself or keep it in plastic jugs wrapped with black trash bags in the sun.

I love being able to go to the sink or tub and turn a knob and hot water comes out! LOL

Thinking about it more, maybe a better answer would be Hot water heaters!

I chose "New York Pizza", because I wanted to point out something I believed the Aliens didn't have

Solar-powered electricity. My reason for showing them this is because I'd be hoping that if they knew we were interested in solar power they might teach us how to do it efficiently and cheaply enough so that we could all afford it, which would be good for the planet. I mean, if they could travel through interstellar space they'd probably know one heckuva lot about harnessing solar energy.

I don't have it anymore but I might show the Aliens a Black 1950s Era Swinn 2 Speed Bicycle.

You back peddled like you were going to use the brakes and it shifted from low gear to high gear to low gear to high gear.

The balance was such that to go up steep steep hills I could peddle standing up.

I special ordered the largest metal baskets you could order and for a year or two I used that bike for everything.

It was a functional work of art. And it was Environmentalist with no pollution and exercise and fresh air.

I would show them our collective children!

I would show them how creative humans are by handing them an iPhone. So that they can hear the music, see photography, watch videos (movies etc..), and see all the art around the world.

Cars. Even the poorest countries have ground transportation that allows people to travel long distance.

Our society revolves around cars. It has for several decades.

If the aliens bothered to land and talk to me this time, I'd point out that our greatest achievement is having not blown ourselves to smithereens (yet).

My second choice would be dentures... I know many of you younger folk or people with great teeth might not get this one, but being able to still eat crunchy food is a really big deal to you if you have lost your own teeth.
