Some synesthetes consistently see or perceive different colors when they taste food and drinks
Synesthesia is a neurological trait possessed by approximately 4% of the general population.
For these people, perceiving a certain stimulus (sensory or conceptual) involuntarily and consistently triggers a second perceptual experience, typically via a different sense.
I wish I could taste colors, I have the blessing/curse of being able to taste smells instead.
It is hard to say because I don't really have only one favorite color but I seem to gravitate toward shades of orange a lot and I think they might taste like ginger coffee sweet with creamer.
A rich, deep amber or warm, earthy brown—something that feels grounding, savoury, and full-bodied, like aged wood or a slow-cooked broth. Maybe with a hint of deep red, like the undertones of a well-ripened tomato or soy sauce.
I had the honor of tasting the unami of being last. Not something you forget. It was my first time, and you know what they say, You never forget your first!
But now i know what it tastes like, I like to go for seconds............
